Meryl Jones Williams (they/them/theirs) is an interdisciplinary artist with a focus on making personal, elemental, and lyrical films. They also compose music for films with a focus on synth-based compositions. Their creative practice is playful, merging analogue and digital workflows as well as non-fiction and narrative genres. They first came to cinema as an actor and co-founded Sweet Potato Productions with friend and collaborator, Jane Stiles, for which they write screenplays, direct, produce, and act. They especially enjoy collaborating as a composer and sound mixer on other’s projects. They also work as a tech, teacher of film/video courses, and freelance voice-over artist.
